Sources confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Royal family’s Aberdeenshire retreat for their first family holiday.

The Sunday Telegraph has learnt that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son Prince George will visit Balmoral in early September, the first time the Duke of Edinburgh will have seen the latest addition to the Royal family, who will by then be around six weeks old.

The Duke is said to be hugely looking forward to meeting Prince George, and the visit by the Duke and Duchess will also enable the Queen, who has only seen the baby for half an hour since his birth on July 22, to spend more time with him.
