Okay, so I love Princess Diana - I love her charity work, her compassion, and I am, like the rest of the public, completely infatuated with what she was. However people often forget that Diana wasn’t always a good wife, nor was Charles a good husband. Charles and Diana had a toxic relationship, one that was not only harmful to them but to their boys, I’m sure. They both made their mistakes, and they just weren’t meant for each other. Plain and simple. Therefore, irrespective of whether Diana died or not, Camilla and Charles would have ended up together in the end. So the fact that Camilla has a part in William and George’s life, as she would as the wife of Charles, shouldn’t make you hate her just because she’s doing things that Diana unfortunately can’t do.
YES, Diana shouldn’t have died on that August night. YES, Diana should have been at Williams wedding, and YES, Diana should have been at George’s christening. But Diana didn’t wear a seatbelt, and her driver was speeding - possibly drunk. Yes, Diana deserved to have a future and she deserved to live, but her death has NOTHING to do with Charles and Camilla’s relationship and everything to do with the fact that she didn’t wear a seatbelt. Her death was a tragedy, but hating another in her memory is even more tragic. Mistakes were made, c’est la vie.
