Okay! That helps a lot! I’ve been on a Ronaldo bing and when he spoke it sounded a lot like Spanish but I couldn’t tell if he was speaking Portuguese or Spanish at some points

It may just be Ronaldo’s accent too.. And that my dear would be because it is( I’m a history major, that’s why I know this) but the Normans that settled in England were from the Germanic area. English is Germans long lost cousin:) and the words that are similar between Spanish and English are because of the Celts that settled in England, Ireland, Scotland and Spain.
